Plan and sync your school timetable and home study schedule:
Pay attention to your teacher and makes notes on the same. Studying the topic on the same day would ensure better understanding and clarity. Revise the topics accordingly.
Avoid studying for a prolonged session:
When you study for a shorter period, it makes your brain work more efficiently and effectively. Also, try Pomodoro technique, a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.
Do not study when you are sleepy or tired:
Trying to study with zero concentration doesn’t make any effect. Avoid studying when sleepy or tired and try to take a walk to avoid the lethargy. Also, you can take a 15-minute nap to charge your mind for your study time.
Count on quality, not quantity:
For competitive entrance exams like JEE Advanced and Main, one does not count the number of hours he/she is spending. Instead, you need to measure the amount of focus you are putting to study the topics that you are doing.
Get rid of all your gadgets like mobile phones, tablets or TV. Try to adjust your study timetable according to your comfort, to concentrate better.
Start with the most difficult or tedious subject when you are adequately alert. Keep the easier ones for the time when you are lazy to study.
Do not schedule similar subjects one after the other:
It is better to study different topics one after the other rather than clubbing the similar ones together. It helps you to stay focused and changes your mood.
Drink some coffee/Tea or hot chocolate:
When tired or bored, try drinking tea/ coffee or hot chocolate to boost your mind and body. These are known to rejuvenate you and motivate you to do better ahead.
Read the textbook rigorously:
Read your books strictly, to not to miss out on any concepts or problems.
Exam time is important. A proper diet throughout the time will help you concentrate and prepare you for the exam in the best possible way. A balanced diet includes enough protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Drink 1.5L to 2L of water, to keep yourself hydrated.
During the exam time, some physical workouts would help you to concentrate better on the topics and bring out the best in you.
Don’t stress yourself out but be calm as the D-day comes near. These are mostly tips, but nothing can replace dedication and hard work. Just believe in yourself and grades will follow you. But also ensure to be fit with a balanced diet and proper exercise.
